So, it turns out that the ice bucket challenge worked, and there’s a new treatment for ALS.  Ten percent of Montanans work for nonprofits, but 2/3 of our nonprofits have no staff at all.  More than half of all email messages were read on phones, and Kickstarter raised over $250 million.  Now, funders seem to be doing an awful lot of navel gazing…  What events and trends of this year do YOU think will have an impact on nonprofits in the year to come?  Come prepared for a lively conversation!

Mary Peterson has led Eagle Mount Bozeman since late 2009.

Prior to joining Eagle Mount, Mary served as development director for Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter and the Museum of the Rockies.  Before moving to Montana in 1994, Mary’s field was international education and exchange.  From 1979 to 1994, Mary was an association executive with NAFSA: Association of International Educators in Washington DC, anchoring the association’s ethics, fundraising, professional development, and small grants programs.  She has traveled to more than 40 countries, and looks forward to adding to that list.

Mary is active in the Bozeman community, striving to help our local nonprofits become more effective and more fundable at every level.  She is currently president of the Montana Nonprofit Association.
