Nonprofit leaders who attend this session will hear the presenter’s top tips to engage and motivate board members. Participants will share their ideas with their colleagues and consider how they will implement new ideas.


Peggy M. Owens, CFRE is a trainer, organizational development consultant and coach for organizations with a focus on fundraising, board development, strategic planning and meeting facilitation.  Peggy’s entire working career has been with nonprofits, as staff member, volunteer and consultant.

She has a wide range of nonprofit experience including fundraising and executive positions. Peggy was CEO for the newly consolidated Big Brothers Big Sisters of Alaska. Before moving to Alaska, she worked with the Yellowstone Association in Yellowstone National Park and was the Executive Director for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Gallatin County, covering a 3-county area in southwest Montana. Peggy is the founding Chair of the Montana Nonprofit Association Board of Directors and now serves on the Board for the Association of Fundraising Professional’s Montana Chapter.  She received her certification as a fundraising executive in April, 2004.
