This workshop provides benchmarking data so you can see how your nonprofit stacks up against the competition. You’ll also consider your organization’s past results as well as explore new ways of raising money.


Very little lecture, a whole lot of discussion, fundraising planning templates and time to start creating your organization’s own development plan.

  • Benchmark with other like-sized nonprofits (e.g. where do they get their funding)
  • Explore your current revenue streams and consider new sources of funding
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of popular fundraising activities

Laura Rhodes is the principal at Third Sector Consulting, a nonprofit consulting firm based in Bozeman, MT. Laura specializes in prospect research as well as grant writing support for organizations that want to write their own grants. She also leads workshops, webinars, retreats and fundraising training for nonprofit staff and boards.

Laura has more than 15 years of experience in philanthropy, fundraising and nonprofit development. She has worked in nonprofit development as a staff member.  She has also served as a board member for numerous nonprofit organizations, including Board President and as chair of the Resource Development (Fundraising) Committee.

Having been both a grantmaker and a fundraiser, Laura uses her unique perspective to help nonprofits find more funders, win more grants and raise more money for their cause.
